Matt Gonzales

Matt has been dancing for 9 years, beginning his training with Kevin O’Keefe and Tru Da From out of Boulder, Colorado. After his start in Boulder, Matt went on to train in Florida under Dayna Magno Delisay and Underagroove. Through Underagroove, he became a part of the Orlando Magic Hip-Hop Team and competed with Culture Shock DC. Moving back to Denver, he continued training under Ken Jimenez and Rico Changeux at Motion Underground Dance Studio. Matt taught for the Colorado Ballet before opening a Streetside Studio branch, Streetside South. Matt believes dance is something to be enjoyed and strives to use the skills he's learned to help others build their confidence, enjoy themselves through movement, and learn to better themselves in all facets of life through dance. Matt focuses on all elements of hip hop and loves expanding his knowledge by trying new dance forms. He has performed with the Orlando Magic Hip-Hop Company, Culture Shock East Coast Dance Competition Champions (2004, 2005) – Underagroove, MGM Grand – Jabbawoockeez and with local companies such as Streetside, Streetsdie South, Motion Underground and Tru Da Form. He has a BS of Science from the University of Colorado Boulder and is currently the Director of Operations at mywedding.com and co-owner of Streetside South.
